Prioritizing Safety
At Walton, safety isn’t just a priority—it’s a promise. For over six decades, we have ensured that every aspect of our commercial, industrial and residential services is conducted with the highest regard for safety standards and protocols. By placing safety at the forefront of everything we do, we not only eliminate the risk of injuries but also reduce operating costs, resulting in a streamlined and efficient project delivery. From our skilled team members to our advanced equipment and meticulous processes, you can trust Walton to safeguard your project and personnel while delivering top-quality results.
Our Safety Performance
Our safety policies, procedures, and training, overseen by our full-time Safety Director, have ensured us an Experience Modification Rating (EMR) that is among the best in the industry, with a score of 0.66. Going above and beyond to eliminate accidents is the aim every day for everyone at our offices, in our fabrication shops, in our warehouse, and on job sites. Our safety program exceeds OSHA requirements, raising the bar on the commitment to safety.
Culture of Safety
We provide both OSHA 30-hour and 10-hour training in-house to our employees, addressing each sub-part of the OSHA standards. In our training, we examine the components of Walton’s Safety Program and how they exceed OSHA standards.
All workers attend a mass safety meeting 2-3 times a month, where we address current issues, safety audit findings, and things we can do to stay ahead of the curve. Crews have weekly toolbox talks on-site as well. At Walton, we use analytics to be proactive, to do our best to share knowledge, and to prevent accidents from occurring.
Leading By Example
Our project teams are expected to lead by example, putting safety first in their daily work activities. For each of our projects, a site-specific project safety plan is developed, taking into account the specific safety requirements and environment of the project. This plan outlines the responsibilities relating to safety for everyone on the project.
Zero Tolerance Policy
Our safety principles are firm and our safety program is backed by company policy. We are fully committed to a drug-free work environment through both pre-employment screening and random drug testing for all employees.
