The Problem: Katoen Natie needed a complete re-roof for their warehouse in Baytown. However, they needed a roofing company with the expertise to remove every single layer of built up roof and re-roof each section without exposing the inside of the building to the elements. With only 5 months to complete the entire project, they also needed a roofing company that could work efficiently and within a shortened timeframe.
The Solution: Removing and replacing section by section. Staying on top of weather forecasts. Utilizing our equiptors to easily dispose of materials without leaving a mess. We also carefully folded the EPS before removing it from the job site in order to avoid debris.
What We Did:
- Initial assessment: carefully inspected the entire roof and took a core sample
- Demo:
- remove PVC membrane
- remove EPS board – this was done with extreme care in order to avoid debris
- remove gravel to expose the built-up roof
- break up and remove lightweight insulated concrete
- remove metal deck
- Replace metal deck with structural B-deck
- Install poly-iso insulation
- Install cover board
- Apply induction welded TPO
